Men and their ways

"Chivalry is only second to self respect."

Thus quoted my friend.

I wish more men remembered and used chivalry freely.. Open doors, pull out seats, let the "fairer" sex walk ahead, and NOT ask us to slide in a cab!!! :P

We women like it, just that we are too proud to say that these little things matter. We love the feeling that follows the chivalric behavior. We feel like the most precious thing in the world, the most loved, a princess in our own small worlds...

Don't you want the women in your life to feel goodie good and amazing? That includes the sisters, friends and mommies. Not only the wife and girlfriend/s!! :D

Ofcourse, you want them to feel on top of the world. And that happiness will fill you up inside.. :)

Always...

Practise chivalry guys.. It pays. Always. :)

PS: For all you women:

Yeah those guys wanna come treat ya right
Cause you're sweeter than apple pie
Everything that you want you got
Girl you know that you need to stop
Most beautiful thing in sight
Always takin' on the spotlight

-What you got by Colby O Donis feat. Akon.

We love it completely!

:) .. good to know gurls actually like that .. but its kinda dodgy territory isn'it ? with u know all the feminist things going around ... gurls wanna be treated equals and all .. i have actually met gurls who take offense to u opening the door to em .. kinda make the whole .. hey i could open that door myself routine .. and on the other end u dont do it .. and u appear insensitive and ammm un - chivalrous .. i dont know .. another thing is u kinda dont tend to be too chivalrous with amm friends .. i mean ther are ur friends .. they can open the door them selves .. hehe .. but u would try to do it more i guess with some one who u think is .. amm lets just say more than a friend .. :D .. u know the whole .. she'll be impressed with me thing ..
with that said .. i guess when it comes down to it .. its just nice .. to be . amm nice .. being a lill chivalrous here and there is bound to bring a lill smile here and there and that could never be too bad .. (other than in some special rare cases as i mentioned before :D hehe .. but they dont count anyways ) oh and btw at the expense of appearing a lill gay .. u could do it not just for amm women ... :P
so id completely agree with this post .. :)

Hmm... i agree with Joe... Kinda dodgy territory... i may like my date being chivalrous to me but if a close friend does that all d time i ll punch his nose for sure....

holding the door wen my hands are full is one thing and holding the door wen i want to stay in is another.. :-P

That's not true! Most girls I know don't even appreciate it. Some of them get confused and amused, while a few outright tell me not to do it coz "it's the 21st century" and crap. It's almost like they don't wanna be pampered.

My theory is, most girls are so used to being with shitty guys that when the do manage to meet the good guy, always cares about them, and never abuses them, and never uses emotional blackmail, these girls start to panic. They panic, and they bring the abuse into the relationship themselves.

Wait.. weren't we talking about chivalry?

>_<

nice message anindita... but, i dont think that much is going to change... i mean you cannot make anyone realise the importance of chivalry .. it is something that is a part of their basic nature !!

but nice effort nevertheless.

mm.. I guess it's just your view and not entirely the view of women in general!

Cos there are people in this very comment box who've made it clear that they don't want guys to be chivalrous and all!

Btw, as Joel said, it's a totally dodgy territory and yeah, it depends on the individual whom we are talking bout!

What say?

Ankur Kakkar said...

yeah , i totally agree that different women expect different 'levels' of chivalry from men and it is not possible to create a 'benchmark' as far as the amount of chivalry that a guy needs to possess !! but anindita surely expects her GUY to be chivalrous :P
