Pieces and Graves

Two minutes of the most pure and unadulterated happiness followed by seven years of hurt,
For the fifteen minutes I spent laughing, fell countless tears on the dirt
For all the moments I floated above the ground, I spent several more in pain
The amazing six weeks we had, the rest all were spent in a haze
For the clarity and the hope you gave me, you went away with all my faith
The ten seconds of euphoria turned into an eternity of hate
The one day of longing we had; it broke me along the way
You made me the woman I am and yet you took it all away
For the tender moments you showed and all the darkness that it became
That one kiss we stole together was followed by many heart wrenching screams
The tingling heat you introduced me to, along with the eons of distress
For that one night of love we made, you sent me to my grave....

Are you alright ?I hope you are...

You talk in such a paradoxical language..BTW - is it a poem fest or something ? everyone talking in poems and I stand here as a complete idiot not getting a thing.. ??

However, lines to talk of beautiful yet painful paradoxes...Each one of experiences things on these lines I guess...You got me nostalgic !

Anindita said...

@ Mishra

I'm okay! It isn't really a poem. Just paradoxes which rule life. And just because poetry isn't your cup of tea, doesn't mean that you are an idiot! It means you are different! And that difference makes you the best around here! :)

Cheers. ^_^

Can relate this poem very well to myself..... The most recent encounter of mine in a relationship for me :(

But then you have to keep going and thats what i keep on telling to myself...

Rushabhh Gandhi said...

I would like to ask you something on a similiar note..

IN a relationship if 1 person leaves another for some one else or due to bla bla reasons.. we call it a break up....
But what will you name a relationship in which two people are no more together and still both are crying and blessing each other, for each other.????

Amit Charles said...

one heck of a piece of poetry that is n i mean that in a complimentary way:)
on a serious note...no one should be allowed so much significance in life to break u in such a way.

Arre, no problem! Call me whatever you want! :P

Do get back, though; when the shift key works! And did both the shift keys stop functioning simultaneously??!! ;)

@ Rushabgandhi

This isn't personal! Just paradoxes faced by people!

As far as your question goes, I call that relationship the difficult after effects! Hope you sort out your issues soon. Take care.

@ Sutta

Yes, I'm fine. :)
And I think Mishra liked it too! =P

Nice piece ;)

But i feel emotions are very transient and momentarily.....

If you say eternity of pain or hate...I think it's not practically possible.

I can smell some soreness in here and then there is some exaltation.
I can at ease lie to you but I don't think you need it. Life will be just the same tomorrow or maybe worse. The same things will be repeated and you will be put to these same trials all over. But the moment you realize that, it's gonna get so much better Its really gonna be. The way you will feel will be like something youve never felt before. :)

I know its something which is not directly related to the post but then its important.

Cheers!

Anindita said...

@ Comfortably Numb

Love the fact that you didn't lie to me! And I appreciate it!

brings to my mind one of my quotes....

When life pushes you so hard that you struggle to breathe; when it gets way too demanding and there is no one you can share it with, don't worry! You are only getting better. In the end, it is the man's character that counts. So cheer up and be happy. I am happy :-)
